When Ruth went back to work again, Boaz ordered his young men, “Let her gather grain right among the sheaves without stopping her. 16 And pull out some heads of barley from the bundles and drop them on purpose for her. Let her pick them up, and don’t give her a hard time!” Ruth 2:15-16
A few years ago there was a new manager in town who didn’t see the need to have an employee in Florida working from her home. Bottom line, he didn’t see the value that I added to him or the team.
I didn’t fight to keep my position…honestly I didn’t become aware of this until months later. I didn’t fight but continued to do my job. The job that I believe God has provided me for this moment in my life….my barley that was dropped on purpose.
Isn’t it amazing how God has a way of taking care of His children?
As I was reading about Ruth in my morning devotional I was reminded of this situation in my life. Ruth was going about her business, working hard, not bothering anyone. She thought she was doing everything that she was supposed to be doing while living amongst a new culture and community.
BUT little did she know that God was looking out for her needs and furthermore, for her protection. God placed these feelings in Boaz heart as He did with me in my employment situation. Someone stepped up and said “leave her alone, she is a wonderful employee and I want her to stay where she is”. I believe that this person was also used by God.
My friend, today you may be in a situation that is difficult. A situation that may be new to you or, even a bit hostile at the moment. I would like to tell that God is going to take care of this for you. God will step in and say…”Don’t give my child, ________, a hard time! (fill in the blank with your name).
He loves you and cares about EVERY detail of your life. Actually, He loves you more than you can comprehend so just sit on His Holy lap and trust that this situation will be solved soon.
Be encouraged today and remember to Just Breathe!
