Oh yeah and remember to Just Breathe!
It is by prayer that we couple the powers of heaven to our helplessness … and make the impossible possible.”
– O. Hallesby

“Do not be afraid, Abram, for I will protect you, and your reward will be great” Genesis 15:1
There are a few things in my life right now that are giving me a sense of worry, a sense of uncertainty and a sense of loss of control. I am AFRAID! I am SCARED!
Can I be real?
We are living in very tough times. Times when the financial state of the world seems to be worsening. Times when cancer and other illness seem to be rampant. Times when the next generation doesn’t seem to be taking the baton of our beliefs and moral standards. Times when we feel that our families are not safe. Oh I can go on and on….
We are living in times that everything seems to be UNSURE!
However, are we going to live in this constant state of “FEAR”? How would our future look if we camped out at Camp Fear for that rest of our lives? Intellectually we know the things that we need to do; we know the supporting scriptures but
our senses are telling us to think different thoughts.
So what are we going to do???
Call Women of Faith into your life!!!!! Today, we mothers, wives, daughters, sisters and friends need to make a choice to hand our worries over to our God as a united group!
This load is not ours to carry. It was never meant to be this way!
We are to have faith in whose child we are and whom we serve. We need to stand for what we believe, unite and pray for strength and courage for one another.
Here are some reminders…
Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Matthew 6:25
Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Mathew 6:27
And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
And there are many more…I am sure you have your favorites. Take hold of these reminders today. Look for a WOF in your circle and ask her to pray for you, to unite with you and ask her about her needs.
The weekend is upon us; let us not waste it by worrying but let’s use the time enjoying our families and loved ones.
Lastly, today I pray supernatural peace over YOUR life. Peace that surpasses all reasonable understanding! AND, I remind you to Just Breathe!!!
Then Abram traveled south by stages toward the Negev. Genesis 12:9
We all have dreams, a destiny and plans for our lives. We at times even have friends, family members and even academic advisors who influence how we pursue our dreams. If you have grown up in the church, your church family also tries to help you pursue “your calling”.
But somehow, no matter what our age is- we want our dreams, our plans and our destiny to happen TODAY OR TOMORROW!
We can learn a lot from what scriptures tells us about Abram’s life. Here is the dream or plan that God told him “I will cause you to become the father of a great nation. I will bless you and curse those who curse you. All the families of the earth will be blessed through you”
Abram was 75 years old when he was told of his future and the plans that God had for him. Then when he is 99 years old God reminds him of this promise and once again tells him that he will be the father of nations, a multitude of nations (Gen 17). However since the original promise, it took 25 years for the promise child to be born (Gen 21).
My friend, don’t give up on that promise, on that spoken word over your life or that destiny that He has planned for you. You may not see it taking form today but every decision you make, every step you make will get you closer to it.
Today I remind you to Just Breathe and remember Step by Step!!!
Reflection Corner:
1.) Do you have any dreams that you have given up on?
2.) What “steps” can you take today to “revive” that dream?
3.) Call a friend and make them part of your new pursuit.
But God remembered Noah and all the animals in the boat. He sent a wind to blow across the waters, and the floods began to disappear. Genesis 8:1
There are times when we are in the middle of a trial, a difficult situation or a never-ending type of suffering that we feel so alone!
It doesn’t mean that you are physically alone.
Yes you have family members around, you have the best of friends and even a wonderful church family but you can’t help to feel all alone!
No one really knows what you are feeling, what you are thinking. Your thoughts turn towards “I don’t know if I can continue on like this….this is getting too hard to hold on-too tough to continue!” My issues are overwhelming me!!
While reading scripture this morning, the first verse, the first three words in fact hit me AND hit me hard.
BUT God remembered!!!!
You are not alone my friend. God has not forgotten you and what you are dealing with. He tells you today that He will be sending His mighty wind to blow in your situation, your breakthrough is near; your flood will begin to disappear. Do not give up hope!!!!
I am not sure who I am writing to today but if this blog has spoken to you please take a few minutes to write to me. As I type these words I unite in prayer for your flood to disappear.
I look forward to hearing testimonies from women who will be sharing about their floods ceasing!
And as always, today, especially today, remember to Just Breathe!
